We are delighted to announce that we will be holding “SHINING WOMAN PARADE at KYOTOGRAPHIE 2022” with Hideka Tonomura, one of the photographers of this year’s KYOTOGRAPHIE main program, “10/10 Celebrating Contemporary Japanese Women Photographers”.

The parade originates from the SHINING WOMAN PROJECT by Hideka Tonomura, a project consisted of portraits of women fighting and facing cancer. Through the parade, we aim to spread the project’s messages, such as liberation from unconsciously instilled female images and changing the views towards cancer patients. Using the images of the project for placards, we will conduct a silent demonstration.
